Pupose Plates
In a world of fast food and quick meals, it’s easy to lose sight of the age-old tradition of family time over dinner.
Purpose Plates are a clever reminder of this valuable experience and aim to bring us back together by introducing a playful game written directly on the dishes.
Point the arrow of the top plate at the person you want to talk to and match it with the phrases of the bottom plate to create conversation-starting sentences.
An educational and playful way to get families talking again!

Purpose Plates è costituito dalla coppia piatto piano-piatto fondo messi in relazione logica tra loro tramite un semplice meccanismo visivo.
Il bordo del piatto piano è costellato da una serie di parole che indicano un’azione.
Il piatto fondo -più piccolo- sovrapposto a quello piano, serve per indicare la persona a cui è destinata la comunicazione.
Ruotando i piatti uno sull’altro è possibile comporre diversi tipi di messaggi da “inviare” ai nostri commensali.
In un periodo storico dove i pasti si consumano sempre più velocemente Purpose Plates è un inivito a sedersi intorno ad un tavolo e relazionarsi con le persone che condividono con noi il rito quotidiano di convivialità.
La funzione del gioco può variare a seconda dei messaggi e l’utenza, “purpose plates” può diventare un gioco educativo per i più piccoli ed un modo per “rompere il ghiaccio” per i più grandi.

“Piantalà’ is a partition made from metal rod which graphically portrays the outlines of a traditional white picket fence.
Each module is made-up of a grid-like formation reminiscent of a standard chain link fence and can be planted directly into the ground or into pots, allowing for numerous configurations.
The linear composition of ‘piantalà’ can be used to define public and private space, indoors and out, offering a screen of privacy through plant life.” from Designboom

“S / PIEGAMI” is a shopping bag created by folding a sheet 100x100cm, educational materials and sponsors can be printed directly on the bag to avoid the waste of leaflets.

The visitor is given a bag to fill, to read, a memory to store and reuse at the end of the event safeguarding the environment.

Exposynergy decided to use this project creating a special S / PIEGAMI dedicated to the award ceremony.

The consumer, assembling the pieces without the support of any tool has an active role in the realization process and is guided in the understanding of the physical principles behind this design.
Applying tensile structures in furniture design opens new sustainability scenarios and formal possibilities.

L’ obbiettivo era quello di ridurre drasticamente i componenti di una sedia comune eliminando connessioni e sostegni statici.
Una tensiostruttura a tutti gli effetti, la materia si riduce e i tiranti permettono il gioco di leve.
L’oggetto soffre il nostro peso, il legno resiste strenuamente al gioco della trazione e compressione.
In tempo di crisi anche le sedie soffrono.

Ispirato alle gabbie per uccelli è adatto ad uso interno ed esterno.

A ladder, a hanger, a drying rack, three everyday objects, present in our homes and often bound in a dark closet.
A-scale is the result of a process of synthesis and simplification, the goal is not to fill our apartment but to leave the unecessary-
A distinctive piece of furniture that strongly characterizes the domestic space coming out of anonymity, an object for display and use for any eventuality.
Exploiting the walls as a shelf can be used as a drying rack to hang the towels in the bathroom or clothing in the bedroom (often accumulated in disorder in the chair), and when we need a few inches more, just go up on the pegs.
Made of welded metal tubing, A-scales has rubber feet, has a height of 180 cm and a width of 55 cm.

Una scala, un appendiabiti, uno stendino, tre oggetti d’uso comune, presenti in tutte le case e spesso rilegati nel buio di uno sgabuzzino.
Un-scale è il frutto di un processo progettuale di sintesi e semplificazione, non ha l’obbiettivo di riempire l’appartamento ma di svuotarlo.
Un complemento d’arredo distintivo che caratterizza fortemente lo spazio domestico uscendo dall’anonimato, un oggetto da mettere in mostra e da usare per ogni evenienza.
Sfruttando le pareti come piano d’appoggio può essere sfruttato come stendino, per appendere le salviette in bagno o i vestiti in camera da letto (spesso accumulati in disordine sulla sedia), e quando ci serve qualche centimetro in più, basta salire sui pioli.
Realizzato in tubolare metallico saldato, Un-scale ha dei piedini in gomma antiscivolo, ha un’altezza di 180 cm ed ha una larghezza di 55 cm.

ILLY CAFFE’ STAZIONE INTERATTIVA 2011

Stato: Prodotto

Progetto seguito durante la collaborazione con lo studio Sinapsy Design.

L’obiettivo era quello di creare delle zone multisensoriali che facessero conoscere al visitatore la qualita’ e le caratteristiche del caffe’ Illy.

Il package simbolo del caffè Illy, il barattolo metallico contenente il caffè, viene ingigantito e portato ad una dimensione inedita.

Il tipo di intervento è giustificato dalla funzionalità della forma cilindrica che ben si presta ad accogliere il visitatore all’interno nel suo guscio, soddisfacendo al contempo l’esigenza di “visibilità del brand” ricercata dall’ azienda.

Il progetto si è evoluto nello sviluppo di due prodotti distinti ma complementari : “MAXI-BARATTOLO” e “Desk moultitouch”.

Project done during the collaboration with the studio Sinapsy Design.

We goal of the project was to involve visitors to know the qualities of the Illy coffe with an installation inside the shops galleries.

The packaging is the simbol of Illy brand, here this simbol it’s becoming bigger, taking it in an unusual scale from pack to architecture.

This tipology of intervention is justified by the cilindric form that allow people going inside and discover the 3d screen, satisfing the visibility of the brend wanted by the customer.

The project evolved in the development of two distinct but complementary products: “MAXI-JAR” and “Desk moultitouch”.

La forma nasce dalla volontà di sfruttare le potenzialità espressive e le qualità strutturali del materiale.

La gamba in multistrato curvato e si inserisce come una protesi all’interno della scocca, come se fosse l’albero di una barca che sorregge una vela in tensione.
